Back in 2019 CEMA Lighting installed a bespoke, energy efficient lighting system for Bosch Lawn & Garden in Stowmarket. Bosch are giants in manufacturing of domestic technology but also in industrial machinery and have been leading the market since 1886.

The bay areas within the Bosch facility were flooded with fluorescent T8 anti-corrosive luminaires, which compromised the visibility for forklifts and consumed more energy than necessary. With newer technology, CEMA Lighting’s design team drew up some plans to replace these products with CEMA Lighting’s 60-watt IP65 High-Output Linear fittings, this has increased the light levels within the area so that boxes and labels are easier to read, as well as minimizing shadows while still reducing the running costs for the whole system by 64%.

Because CEMA Lighting also include a grants and funding investigation in all proposals, Bosch were able to reduce the total cost of the project by 19%, meaning that BOSCH had already made their return on investment before the end of 2020.
