CEMA Lighting have installed their exclusive range of lighting products at 8 Motorpoint sites across the UK, these sites are in Birmingham, Birtley, Burnley, Oldbury, Newport, Sheffield, Peterborough and Widnes, making Motorpoint another member of a small exclusive group of fully LED converted motor companies in the UK

Lighting the various Sales, Mechanical, Display and Valeting areas within a Car Supermarket environment requires different kinds of lighting to ensure that each area is lit appropriately for the specific purpose of each area. Using our in-house lighting design team, we were able to provide accurate designs to ensure all requirements were met.

The best savings made across the group was at the Birmingham site where we reduced the total quantity of fittings by over 170, which lead to a total reduction in power consumption of over 250,000KwH which equates to monetary savings of £36,620 PA.

Over the 8 sites we have converted to an energy efficient LED lighting system, the headline figures of the savings that are expected over the next 7 years can be seen below;

• Total Carbon Emissions savings – 4,842 Tonnes of CO²
• Total Kilowatt Hour savings – 9,990,000 KwH
• Total monetary savings after capital cost - £1,250,770.00
